| Ekaterina Salnikova aka Lena Location: Kaluga, Russia Email:kasal@aport2000.ru, katusha-2000@yandex.ru Phone: unknown Hello, I am glad I found your site and that it shows scamers. I have always wanted to believe that the ladies on the sites are real, but felt they are too good to be true too. I had my ad on Kiss.com or Udate and was contacted by this girl and we coresponded for a month or so. she told me she & her little brother lived with her uncle and aunt as her parents were killed in a car accident a year before. Things seemed to progress at a resonable pace and no asking of money, but she did mention meeting a few times, and that she didn't want to have just a email relationship, which I of course understood. Then for what ever reason I never heard a word from her for 6 or 8 weeks.then she got back to me from a diiferent email address, telling me she was sick in the hospital wit food poisoning, and that her other address got spoiled and was not able to use it. This didn't make a lot of sense to me, since I wouldn't think a email address could go bad or that food poisoning would lay you inthe hospital for that many weeks. I know others who have had it and been bed ridden for a couple days only. Anyway a few emails later we were going to see about meeting her aunt worked for a travel agency and was able to get her the visa and tickets needed to come see me. I of course was wanting to meet her and see if we had a chance, and this way I would not have to leave work to fly to Russia. she told me she had some money from when her parents died and only needed a small amount to make the final plans to come to me. I was very hesitent as I am not a rich man, and I didn't want to send money to a scam(still not sure if this was real) . First amount she told me she needed was $500 U.S. funds, and she would have enough, then a week later she told me her aunt made a mistake and that it was $750 U.S.. I pondered this for a few days and thought why not lets try it.So I sent her the money order through Western Union. Then she contacts me and tells me she needs the code # that the money was sent under as her aunt was picking up the money since she herself could not get there to show identification. This alarmed me, but I told her anyway,( I know stupid of me). Then a couple days later she sent me a letter that she was so happy and soon she would be here. I then got another email the next day, stateing that she was so sorry that her aunt was wrong and that she needed more money to get her, another $500 US. I told her that was not needed as I can get the tickets from here return for her, for half what she asked for the first time. And I would send her the tickets, and the amount for the Visa if she would send the money back to me. She wrote back that it had to be done in Russia, and that only her aunt could help us, and that window of opportunity was closing as her aunt was leaving that job soon. so I made some calls here in Canada and found out that I could take care of much of the paper work right from here for her and that I had talked to the Canadian embasy and they were going to help me and her. after I mentioned that I made the calls and talked to the right people she stopped contact with me, totally. So that is my story, sorry I have lost the old emails, but her first name was Lena, 25 years old, she said she lived in Kaluga Russia, but when I looked on a map Kaluga didn't appear to be in Russia to me, but maybe it was. The pictures I am sending are of her and her aunt, her and her brother and one her doing some hair modeling show, or so she told me. I am a little leary of sending this information to you, as I don't know what you are doing with it, I just hope you are legitimate and are just trying to save others from loosing too. I also don't know if these pictures are of the person who really sent me the emails, if they are not and the pictures were just used or stolen and used it may affect this girls life by you publishing them. It is possible that she it totally innocent and never knew her pictures were being used, but who knows for sure. I have still contacted a couple ladies from russia knowing that they all can't just want to steal money from me, but if they jump to wanting me to send cash I tell them why I am leary, and will help only with correspondence at this time, and they stop writing, so they must have been scams. I also am fearful of the ones that tell me right away that I am the only man in the world for them and they loved me as soon as they saw my picture and read my words to her, they are too pushy to be real, but again what do I know. I hope this may help another person out there from loosing money, and I hope that this girl has only had her pictures used and not her doing the scam. I will still try to contact Russian women, and maybe one day I will meet the honest correct woman for me from there. |
