I received an e-mail from lastochka_2002@female.ru stating she liked what she saw on a personals profile that I had listed through Yahoo. I began coresponding but gathered some information from sources, which assisted greatly in "taking things slow". She has sent nearly17 letters, each with a high quality photo. It was always a back & forth deal, meaning I never got 2 in a row before I replied. It didn't take long before I found younger pictures of her, along with numerous aliases, cities of residence, & stories. She soon volunteered an address as: Lenin St. 24-5/ Irkutsk/ 56-4900 Russia. It became clear early on that things didn't come together. Generic statements that on the surface would appear as coorespondence, never really responded to me personally, with what I offered her. I would clearly & tactfully repeat questions which never were responded to. The letter writing on my part became an exercise in talking to my dream girl who existed in my mind, as opposed to her. I was curious as to how she operated. She claims that she lives w/ her mother & a brother, and that her father was killed in a recent war conflict. This in itself took up an entire letter. I received numerous examples of cut & paste statements & paragraphs. I wasn't too surprised when I found exact wording to another man earlier this year, talking about a sister (who wasn't in the family to begin with) taking a visit to a university in the USA. Her letters are chock full of contradictions, if one is careful to study! I believe she, or someone else, simply scans the reply for key words that would indicate what formula response should be given. When after asking her for a passport copy, she did say she could send it, yet seemed to stress the immediacy of getting together, which required my assistance, of course. I did address the 350 US but it was not even replied to. I sent a final letter which spoke of my reactions to all of this. I was tactful & clear at times, and also a bit verbose. To my surprise, I got a reply the next morning telling of the lovely letter, her passion for our union, and another mention of me needing to send $!!
